Explanation

In 2018 my wife and I bought some former haying fields overrun with pine trees and designed a new old home to build, doing as much of the work ourselves as we knew how to do at the time. This included all landscaping. Much has been written about that process, here.

We have been clearing and planting and building stone walls, shaping the land. This year we would like to plan a garden oriented around roses, as bushes and hedges, with some hydrangea trees and lilacs for larger structure.

The garden goals are:

• Give a sense of enclosure, enough that one would want to put out a table and sit among the garden.
• Look very attractive from the road. We want to make something not just for myself but for every passerby, and for the glory of the town. The house sits outside a historic village, so for a country road there are many pedestrians.

So the goal of this webapp is to place dozens of roses (I hope for 100 total, but it may take some years) and other plants in pleasing formations. The editor is a top-down view of the land, with many

I am currently timber framing something in the driveway. The Goose Palace was timber framed last year.
